Chapter 23: Coming Home

Elena’s P.O.V

After the three hour plane ride back to my home in Ontario, Canada, I was just about ready to pass out and not wake up for a year.

Not only was I dead tired, but the fear of having to face my parents was a constant icy fist around my heart that kept on squeezing until I was nearly to the point of hyperventilation.

I clutched Landon’s arm in mine and gave it a rough squeeze, I tried to speak to him but I couldn’t form words. I was gulping in air, but even then I felt like my lungs weren’t getting enough of it. But even before I could say anything, Landon was already dragging me away towards the restrooms. He wrapped me securely in his arms and took me inside the ladies room.

I vaguely remember hearing a few angry protests, but then Landon was speaking to them in a hushed voice and soon, the washroom emptied out and he helped me up on the counter and started rubbing his hand
