Chapter 56: Confrontations

In my suite, I looked at the clock and knew I had missed practice. But getting to spend quality time with my men was worth it.

I quickly jumped into the shower and then dressed in my work scrubs and donned my nurse's shoes. Then I ran a brush through my hair and headed down the hallway. I was in the elevator when I realized I had forgotten my cell phone, but I didn't need it anyway. So, I headed toward the Clinic.

"You missed practice today."

I cringed, for leaning against the wall was Sasha.

"Sasha, what do you want?" I asked, folding my arms over my chest.

She stepped closer. "I just thought you could show me that neat trick of yours." She shrugged. "You know the one... when you pushed the air and sent Eve and me flying backward." She tilted her head to the side, mimicking my position.

I shrugged, smiling without humor. "I don't know. I think I want to learn the one where you pinned my head to the ground with your paw on my neck."

A low guttural growl erupted from deep within her
