Fane took a deep breath as his hands started to tremble. He knew that talking no longer counted in this matter.

Rudy could finally not hold back anymore.

He looked at the white-robed man. "You've already agreed to the deal, and you can't go back on your promise. If you do, you'll be punished by the laws of Prosper City! Lightning will strike you!"

The white-robed man frowned, but Mark interrupted it with a laugh. "The laws of Prosper City are very clear. The laws go in line with the requests on the pill request. Things that aren't on it don't count.

"Earlier, you just had a verbal agreement. The pill request slip never stated that you'd exchange ten thousand spirit crystals for those stones. Since that's the case, you wouldn't be going against the rules, and you won't be struck by lightning!"

As he said that, Mark had a pleased smile on his face.

Gritting his teeth, Rudy wanted nothing more than to punch that pleased smile out of Mark's face and beat him up.
