He smiled at Jeanette as he said, “I had no idea that you lost your memories after an accident, sis. Pardon my rudeness. Please don’t be alarmed.”

“Who are you? Why did you call me your sister-in-law?”

“I’m Elias’ old friend. We’ve known each other for many years. You’re married to him. Of course I’d consider you my sister-in-law, wouldn’t I?”
