Beth stared at me, tears in her eyes. "I never, that wasn't it... I didn't..."

Curious, Bev had him escorted to her office. He was a large man with a friendly face, dressed impeccably in a nice suit and tie. He thanked her for her time, and got down to business. Some of it filled her with unease.
