I stared in awe as Katherine and a man I couldn't recognize walked away before me. I had no idea what to feel at that moment, but I did my best to restrain my emotions from getting the better of me. I was in public, and acting recklessly would earn me nothing but disrespect.

I had suddenly lost the charisma and energy that was brewing in me moments ago. The scene I had just witnessed had drained me completely of energy, and I was struggling to keep myself from collapsing on my knees and crying like a child.
