At the hotel entrance, the two groups parted ways. Before leaving, FLora remarked, “Lydia, I’m taking Steven to the hospital first. We’ll meet you tomorrow to talk about the money.”

She did not give Lydia a chance to reply before she and her family up and left.

“Are you all right, Steven? Are you seriously injured? If you aren’t, we won’t go to the hospital. No use wasting money there,” Lydia asked her son after they walked some distance away.

Although Steven had been viciously beaten up, they were all superficial wounds and probably were not that serious. It was fine if he did not go see a doctor. Instead, something else seriously worried him.
