Victoria’s POV

I blinked a few times, wondering if I had heard Zane correctly.

“They were declaring war on Alex’s pack and searching for me?”

This wasn’t going to end well.

I decided I needed to sort this out myself, once and for all. I could not let Alex’s pack suffer because of me.

“Victoria, don’t do anything rash; you are perfectly safe here. They will never even know this place exists. They won’t find you.” He started to say, but I wasn’t listening.

Alpha Evan and his daughter were pure evil, they would destroy anyone who got in their way, and as Alex did not even remember me, he wouldn’t fight back. They would walk all over him and the entire pack.

I could not allow that to happen.

There was a knock on the door, causing me to growl, and then seeing a young girl nervously step away, I felt terrible.

My face softened, and I smiled at her.

“I am sorry; how can I help you?” I asked in a friendly tone, ignoring Zane, who was still
