67- The Rest of the Story

As Roger finished his recollection of Anita, he bares a sad smile.

“She wanted to come back,” Roger says. “But she couldn’t.”

“I’m so sorry,” Juliet tells him.

“I’m so sorry I got scared. I should have known the goddess had a plan. I should have been your father,” Roger tells her.

“I’m sorry I didn’t speak to you at the funeral,” Juliet tells him.

“I understand why you didn’t. I should have never let her reject me. I have been alone all these years and now she is gone. You are a very special wolf,” Roger tells her.

“I’m not a wolf, I don’t have a wolf,” Juliet tells him.

“Roger,” Janice calls his attention. “Terry Timberman was my mate. How sure are you about his involvement in Roslyn getting away?”

“I got that from Afton. I called him several times to check on Anita. He would talk to me but not to Anita. I think he always hoped she would go looking for answers. She called me, we planned to get a message to you, and she was going to leave him.
