Isis sank down after the unpredicted call from Lex. Her heart kept hammering against her chest and her eyes felt heavy. As much as she tried to hold back the force was too great and she unloaded her inner pain to the empty corridors of her house. The sound of her sobs echoing off the walls in a sick mockery.
