Chapter 505 Do You Ever Wish We Had a Son

Natalie glanced up as Henry wheeled himself in.

"Is she asleep?" Henry whispered, careful not to disturb Mercy. His gaze toward Mercy was overflowing with affection.

Thinking about Shane's strong preference for sons over daughters, Natalie couldn't help but ask, "Henry, can I ask you something?"

Henry looked at her with a hint of confusion. "What do you want to ask?"

"Do you ever wish we had a son?" Natalie asked calmly, her eyes assessing Henry discreetly. She believed a person's initial reaction held the truth.

Henry chuckled at the question. It seemed like he could read her thoughts, and he asked jokingly, "Are you worried I'll leave you if we don't have a son, and find another woman to give me one?"

Natalie couldn't help but smile at his response. She knew he wouldn't do that.

"Hurry up and give me an answer. Do you want a son?" Natalie brushed aside his teasing and pressed on.
