Chapter 5

It was 12 o'clock in the night. Ana was waiting for Adam in this unknown place. She was not allowed to leave the room. She wanted to penetrate into his personal space so much that Adam would let her roam freely in this house, but it was a long journey and she had not yet gained enough trust.

Inspector Mark's planning only went so far. Once he got to Adam, she was at his mercy and no power in the world could save her if he wanted to kill her.

She lay quietly in the blanket for some time and then got out of the blanket. There was a faint light from the burning lamp in the room, but she could clearly see the strange picture made on the wall on the other side of the window of the room. The map was handmade and different locations were highlighted on it. First, she thought, why would he put this map in the slaves' room?

She stood for a while trying to remember it but the map and the codes written on it were all very strange. If she could understand the map, she certainly knew where she was at the moment, but it was impossible to figure it out. She would hide this map and take it with her, but she had to do it as soon as possible because Adam could come anytime.

The thought of Adam made her heart beat faster as she hurriedly looked for the paper and a pen she had found lying under the table. She drew the line, which was slightly crooked due to trembling hands, before she wrote something else on the paper, her whole body shaking with a horrible thought.

“‍They can check you in different ways. This can happen even when you are unknown and even when they start trusting you; don't make the mistake of bringing anything with you from there, no matter how useless that thing is to you. Why don't you think? I'm sure Adam wouldn't keep anything useless around him. He would even know how many pieces of paper you had around and in what position they were kept. Remember this kinds of people. He remembers how much ink was in the pencil and how it was placed on the table. He is very organized and if you want to succeed in this mission, you have to be more organized than him. Your step should be calculated.”

Her body began to tremble as she remembered Inspector Mark's advice on the training. She realized that the pencil and paper were kept only to trap her. She hurried to the door to lock it from inside so that she could be able to put the paper and pencil back in their position, but when she reached the door, she realized that this room had no lock, she could not close the door in any way, and she also found the washroom door was without a lock.

Now she realized that none of the doors were locked or bolted. She started to sweat cold. With trembling hands, she kept the paper and pencil in the same place. In which position it was kept, she thought. She was trying different positions alternately. One focus was on putting the paper back in the same position and the other focus was on the door from which anyone could enter at any time.

After much effort, she managed to put the paper back in the same position, but it was impossible for her to put the pencil back on the table. She was so nervous while getting the pencil that she had not seen its position. She began to think about what she was advised to do in these circumstances.

“Whenever you feel that you are being trapped by the things kept there, then instead of getting away from those things, you have to keep them with you, but remember that if you do this, one of the reasons for keeping this thing with you is in your mind. You have to think about it so that you can tell them in time.” Mark's training came in handy once again as she quickly sat down on the chair in front of the dressing table and began to replace some of the makeup items that were placed there so that the onlookers would think it was makeup. She was teasing things and at the same time she changed the place of the pencil. She started to apply some make-up on her face. Now she is a little relaxed, but waking up suddenly at night and starting to apply make-up is also not normal.

She was realizing that it wasn't all that easy; the task was more difficult than being a call girl or sleeping with someone for one night. If she was to succeed, she would have to remember Mark's training every step of the way. She was trapped between the minds of Adam, who was still a mystery with the help of his wicked mind, and Mark, who was determined to expose Adam. One movement, one word, one feeling had to be understood and then remembered. Only then could she live.

Sitting in front of the dressing table, applying lipstick to her pink lips, she had an idea to transfer the information that seemed dangerous but useful. If she worked on this, she would definitely transfer the information on the wall in front of her. She could transfer, but for that she needed strong senses. She sat in front of the mirror for a long time, thinking about this trick, deepening the lipstick on her lips. She gathered all the courage she had and looking at the door, she took off her shirt and then opening her blouse, with the help of lip liner, she wrote all the codes on the inner side that were visible on the wall in front of her.

Suddenly, the door opened, she was sitting in front of the mirror and turned towards the door where Adam was standing looking at her. Instead of panicking, she tried to keep herself calm.

“Why are you forced to sit in front of the mirror and prepare yourself in this dark night?” He left, leaning on the door and went inside, upon which she also left her seat and came close to him.

“I am trying to remove the barrier between you and me with the help of this makeup.”

She was somehow keeping herself normal, but she wanted to let her stay normal. He came closer and his palms touched her body to reach her shoulders.

Adam's hands had moved from her shoulders to the strappy arms and now her entire neck to shoulder was ready to be captured by his lips.

“A woman and a snake can never be trusted.” Adam spoke politely, to which she recoiled, freeing herself from his cold tone and hot lips. Adam's sentence was sharp.

“If I had not been forced to sell my body for money, I would never have let you touch me after hearing this.” She was furious.

“Don’t be dramatic. Tell me who are you and who do you work for?” He asked in his heavy, dangerous voice and she trembled.

Did he know that she was a spy?

But how could he know?

What will he do now?

Will he brutally kill her?
