There was a long silence.

Everyone looked at the back. Their eyes were on the two of us.

I stared at Lucas in shock.

"O-one...t-thousand?" I whispered in a low voice. "Do we have that much money?"

"We don't."

"...." Whattttt?

Lucas then smirked seeing my comical expression, "But the hunted mansion has that much."

I could imagine Carl's dark face when he learned that we cost them a thousand just for a bucket of water.

The fat man gritted his teeth at us. But he did not dare to bid more. Perhaps, spending a thousand tokens for a single bucket was something that Lucas could only do.

The other patrons glanced at us curiously. They must be wondering where a big patron came from. I inched a bit away from Lucas.
