Chapter 67: A bit touchy

On the way back to the hospital, no one dared to speak. Both of us have weights in our minds.

The 'door to the afterlife' importance to me had now become significant just second after recovering my memories.

I should investigate more about this so I could help Lucas.

I glanced at the folder. Although I badly wanted to study what was inside, there was a matter at hand that I must first do.

When we arrived at our territory floor, I cornered Lucas.

"So...you promised to me that we are going to talk about it after the hunt was over. Now is the time."

Before the hunt, Lucas deliberately avoided me because I saw something that I shouldn't see. It was Lucas' business, but as his partner, it was my business too. I could not help but be angry that he was keeping this to himself.

Avoiding me was not the answer! If Lucas was suffering, I, the person who received much help from him should payback and help him.

Oh...I sound cool at that, right?

Lucas stepped back from my kabedon pose*.
