29. Giovanni (Short)

I don’t know what it is about an ultrasound, but that shit puts things in perspective real quick. The past few weeks I have watched Lucia’s belly growing more and more, then after seeing the ultrasound, something inside of me snapped.

That overprotectiveness increased tenfold; I knew right then and there that I would do anything to protect the two of them.

We got home from her first checkup about an hour ago, and she’s already passed out on the bed. She’s been extremely exhausted lately, but that’s understandable since she’s going through a lot of healing because of that fucker Sal.

I lean down and kiss her forehead before getting up and walking downstairs; to the problem I’ve been putting off since they released Lucia from the hospital. What I’m about to do won’t be pretty, but to me, it’s justified.

My brothers think I’m insane for keeping her alive down here; however, I have something planned for her and her betrayal.
