Chapter: 36 [ Official Wedding Night ]

The noise of nocturnes in the stilled night is the only source of distraction for me. The truth I learnt today by Robert Crain and how Scarlett being adamant to go after her father and to seek justice for her best friend and his family. How should I tell her that the friend she had been mourning for, is her own husband. It’s becoming harder and harder for me to hide my real identity from her and keep lying on her face.

“What are you still doing here, it’s almost midnight.” Scarlett’s tired voice forces me to tear my gaze from the star-studded sky and exhale the whiff of smoke in the air.

“It’s your sixth cigarette in last two hours, Blaze. Stop now and tell me what’s bugging you.’ she places her hand over my shoulder and the guilt deepens.
