Chapter 62 Beg for Forgiveness

Jonathan eyed the young man in front of him, dressed in a posh suit, he must be an important figure. “Er…he is Carson. Carson Waverly.”

It took Jonathan a minute to realize that he had heard this name before. And another to realize that he heard this name from Elissa. He was her ex-husband, the one who cheated on her. “So you are Carson” his tone was firm, jaws set hard.

Carson nodded, stretching his hand forward for a handshake. “Yes, that's me. And you are..?” he asked politely.

“Why are you here?” Jonathan asked instead, ignoring his question. Carson glanced at Elissa, then looked back at Jonathan. Carson didn't know Jonathan was Elissa's brother. He had only heard his name when Elissa and he were together. He also assumed that this man must have known about their past because he was cold to him.

“I am here to see my daughter–”

“No!” Jonathan snapped, “Lia is not your daughter.”

“Brother… .. ” Elissa tried to calm him down, not wanting him to make a scene at the hospital. Carson's
