Chapter 16: HARD DECISIONS

I stopped time to save that poor girl because I could not let her die, she is too young and should live to enjoy her life, after which I erased the memories of the people around me to make them forget what had just happened.

As immortal creatures, we are never allowed to interfere in the life of the mortals even on matters concerning life and death no matter how pitiful it looked and for that very reason, we were severed from the power of raising the dead.

Back when I was in the spirit realm I often watch innocent babies, children, pregnant women and even teenagers that were not worthy of death die pathetically and we were never allowed to save them from the hands of death.

Since the day I stepped my feet on the mortal realm, I have witnessed death from the couples that took care of me and Axen to my neighbours, friends and even a passerby that got hit by a truck while crossing the same road.
