When her tears had been spent, Cindy left her house and locked her door. She consoled herself with the fact that despite her broken heart, she was going to derive so much joy from giving little Tim the wonderful surprise of her presence.

As Jack drove Maya to the hospital, she lay in the back seat of his car with her eyes closed but her heart was filled with so much happiness.

Earlier, when she had seen the interaction between Cindy and Jack and how they seemed inseparable, she had doubted if her plan would pull through.

After her last plan ended up bringing them closer, she had feared that Jack now had absolute trust in Cindy and would believe whatever she said but what happened convinced her that her fears had been in vain.

Her screams hadn't been fake though because when the hot coffee had touched her skin, the pain she had experienced had been nothing short of excruciating.
