Chapter 43: Something Has To Be Done

Everything was falling apart.

The doctors told me that her reaction toward me was much more hostile than any other person she has seen, so I was supposedly her trigger to whatever she went through at that time. They suggested I stayed away till she made a full recovery—which they didn’t have a timeline on, or a confirmation even.

Carlos was also taken aback when I told him everything. He couldn’t understand what happened, or why she didn’t call me when she got out. She had just wandered off on the street till someone saw her covered in some blood. They called the ambulance and asked if she was okay, but she didn’t speak a word.

The person described her state as “in shock” and “not responding to any stimuli” and that’s when he called the police. Carlos was at the hospital because… well, I don’t know why he was there—but he saw her and did the same, and she didn’t reply. That’s exactly when he called me and asked me to come.
