Chapter 53

"Please, keep the police out of this, I beg of you." Bryan kept pleading while he was been held at the hotel, waiting for the police to arrive.

"You lying bastard! Do you think I'm stupid? I gave you the benefit of the doubt and you tried to run away. I will make sure you rot in jail if you don't pay that money!" The manager yelled angrily.

Bryan was overwhelmed with regret and ashamed of himself, unable to bring himself to look at the manager as he hung his head low.

As the police arrived, they apprehended Bryan once more, leading him away to the station. The weight of his actions made it impossible for him to reach out to his parents.

Bryan paced anxiously, his mind racing with worry. "What do I do now? I can't let Mom and Dad know that I'm at a police station, no I can't pressure them with the bill I owe at the hotel. How did I manage to get myself into such a mess?" He wondered aloud.

An idea struck him suddenly. He made the decision to contact his biological father, Rolland.
