The footsteps became louder, and I stood up, frightened. I snapped at a long iron rod and rushed to it. I grabbed it with my two hands while snapping through the room for when he showed up.

The scent came right under my nose, and I turned around to lock eyes with none other than King Avalor. I shrieked aloud and stumbled backwards, holding the rod tightly.

"I found you, Hilda Storm, and you will not be able to escape me this time around." His voice sent chills through me.

"You think I wouldn’t find you; your scent never left me for a second. The moment I entered the human realm, all I perceived was your scent, and the least place I expected you to be was in this kind of place."

"How did you find out about my presence here?" I questioned.

"You must be very naive to ask that question. I traced your scent, and you are leaving this minute with me."
