Having reached the bed that was torn apart in places (yes, I didn’t replace it either, deciding that it would do anyway!), I undressed and fell asleep almost immediately, as soon as my head touched the pillow. But my serenity in the arms of sleep did not last long.

I was almost eighteen again. Long blond hair was loose and, obeying the gusts of wind, it was either thrown behind my back, or tried to cover my face. My bare feet froze to such an extent that I had long ceased to feel them, and I would certainly have fallen, stretched out on a wooden platform, to the delight of the assembled wolf-dogs, if not for a strong rope that securely held me close to the post in the communal square.

The leader was saying something to the assembled werewolves, periodically pointing at me, but I did not hear a word because of the fear that seized me. There was only a frantic pounding of my heart in my ears, which, it would seem, would jump out of my chest a little more.

Where is Arthur? Where?! Wh
