Chapter Fifty-two

"YOU have to eat this a lot. You need to regain your strength."

I slightly pursed my lips when my father placed a platter of sliced fruits in front of me. I was still in the hospital. It was only two days after I woke up. 

My father was nothing but attentive to me. He almost treated me like a baby. Aside from him, I was finally able to meet my brother, Alfred. He visited me yesterday and I couldn't believe how he welcomed me wholeheartedly in his life. My father and Alfred even asked me to move with them after I got discharged from the hospital. I was overwhelmed by their warm welcome. 

"Dad…you just fed me thirty minutes ago," I said to him, pouting.
