Chapter Twenty

Rose

The sun crept through a window cascading into the room. I groggily opened my eyes; my fingers wiped the sleep from my eyes. I stretched my arms out while I yawned. Once my eyes were fully adjusted to the light, I looked around. Where was I? It was in a room not even vaguely familiar. The only thing that I could recognize was the crumpled t-shirt in my lap...with drool on it. I groaned as I brushed it off Orion’s shirt. How embarrassing.

The room was pretty basic. It had cream walls with hardwood floors. Across the room, there was a cream armchair and side table. On the little table was a little stack of clothes with an apple and a piece of paper laid on top. A pair of flip-flops were tucked under the table. Curiosity got the best of me, and I padded towards the table. The message had a little doodle of a flower drawn on its outside that made me smile. I sunk into the armchair as I took a bite of the apple, and I unfolded the note.

“Good Morning Flower,
