Kaiya

After an unexpectedly long and busy day, I go back to my room to wash and dress for tonight’s dinner with the visitors. I had three meetings with Lunas, but only one had a real problem.

The other two wanted to know if I’d attend their sham charity dinners and contribute to their ridiculous causes, one of which was a sponsored flower garden at their pack house.

The third Luna asked me if I could get her daughter out of a mating situation. “I don’t know if I can help with something like that.”

“Oh, no, no,” the Luna said. “I wondered if you could ask the king to step in.”

“Why don’t you just ask him yourself?”

The Luna’s eyes widened in shock. “A she-wolf can’t just…speak to the king,” she gasped.

“Why not?”

“My mate will have my hide. Besides-” she leaned over my new desk in my new office -“this is woman’s business.”

“Okay,” I finally conceded. “I’ll talk to the king, but I can’t promise you anything. Her father is forcing her to mate with this Beta?”

I’m kind of disappointed in Bowden and in Kaiya. They CANNOT!!! allow this!! It’s disgusting. Kaiya should fight for herself as her “supposed mate” can’t trust or believe her. F*k the mate bond!! This is just disrespectful from side of “her mate” as well…
