Chapter 75

Bowden

I snatch Kaiya up mid-run and throw her over my shoulder like a sack of potatoes. I sprint with her back to the castle, dodging the Lycans that are filtering out of the castle to see what the commotion is about.

She fights me every step of the way, snapping and growling at me like a feral wolf, kicking me as hard as she can and pushing against my shoulders as she tries to get out of my arms so she can go back to her nymph sister instead.

I swing her around and cradle her tightly to my chest. She stares up at me, her mouth pulled in an angry snarl. "Let me go," she says in the papery voice I heard in my dreams months ago.

My balls shrivel up, and my insides turn to water.

This can not be happening.

Before I enter through one of the many side doors, I glance over my shoulder to see Griffin scooping Deborah up in the same why I did with Kaiya, trying his best to carry her back to the catacombs.
