Chapter Fifty-One

Troy’s POV

Troy followed Reese out of the bedroom and chided himself for being so childish. He couldn’t blame her for not saying it back. She’d been through so much in the last few days that it was a wonder she was even leaving their quarters.

“Reese …”

“I’m sorry, okay.” Her voice was small and emotional.

“I didn’t mean to say that. I’m being an idiot. You’ve been through a lot … we have time for you to love me. I don’t care about you saying it back or not.” He did feel like an idiot. How could he be upset with her when she’d just lost her parents, went through that pain of him having sex with someone else and to top it all off, Bryan had tried to rape her. He was the biggest asshole in the world.

He scanned his palm and the door slid open. He turned back to look at Reese and sighed again. “Reese, I’m sorry.”
