The proposal

"Damn it." I said, feeling like throwing my measuring tape down.

Instead, I settled on sitting on the floor of the small room off to the side of the house, trying to concentrate on a few new dress designs.

Whomever thought that dressmaking and designing was easy, have another thing coming, especially when it came onto wedding dresses.

I stood up again, leaning my head to the side, leering at the half dressed mannequin that seemed to be mocking my creative style.

"Come on, you stupid material, make sense." I talked as if it had life.

I had a deadline to meet in making five new dresses, and this is not cutting it.

I'm having a major mind block. It's like being constipated but of creativity.

I groaned and threw my scissors down.

"I can't do this," I told myself.

Just then, Nick pushed the door open, making his way over to his desk with blueprints. He dropped them down, then turned to me dramatically.

"Why arth thou looking soth gloomily?" He spread an arm.
