Justin returned to the hospital and found the men that detective Joe had promised to send by 8 there already. He guessed that he must have taken a lot of time. He opened the door and smiled brightly at Valerie.
"Let's eat," he said and brought up the built-in table that comes with the hospital bed up and put all he has bought on it. Valerie opened her eyes wide with surprise.
She smiled brightly like she was appreciating all he bought with her smile.
Justin unwrapped the meals and wanted to feed her but Valerie remembered that one of the men has fed her and she held out her hands to clean them and shook her head indicating she didn't want to be fed. Justin understood her so he withdrew his hands and they ate in silence.
If Valerie could talk, she wanted to tell him why she couldn't eat with him like that. Justin thought of how to bring up the conversation.
