2. Met A Jerk Of CEO Handerson Group

The CEO of the well-known property company Henderson Group is standing in front of the conference room. Benny Adam Anderson was beside a large screen displaying a layout of a hill area estate plan while explaining their next project to the board of directors and shareholders.

"This is a residential area near the hill that is being intensively developed, Your Honors." Benny explained formally with firm gestures. "As can be seen here. This housing will be in a hilly landscape and has views of the beach which gives the sensation of being at a resort."

"The sensation of being at the resort?" Benjamin, his grandfather and chairman of the Henderson Group, asked.

"That's right, Mr. Benjamin," answered Benny with conviction. "We always see housing that looks just like that. Even if there is a house in the hills with views of the coast as far as the eye can see, there is only one house. Even that is only owned by rich celebrities and conglomerates."

"Indirectly, you said that you want people from non-celebrities or well-known conglomerates to have a house that feels like a resort at the same time?"

Benny curved a brief sweet smile. "More precisely, I want people to no longer have to pay a lot of money to own houses and resorts. So, this housing will be very effective, especially the feel of a beach view like in star hotels on the coast. Like an all in one combination ."

"Is it possible to find land in a hill area that doesn't make housing arrangements decline?"

After getting the question, Benny then changed the screen display slide. Now it has turned into an expanse of land, forest and beach views.

"I have planned a residential area that will not protrude downwards to minimize any flooding from flowing into the residential area below," Benny answered without hesitation.

The executives in front of Benny watched with great care and enthusiasm.

With a relaxed gesture, Benny continued his sentence. "Then with that said, where are we going to find the right area of land for this large housing project?" pause. "It's not much and it's not easy, that's the risk.

However, the Henderson Group has worked closely with the Hudge Group which has taken care of real estate issues. They will provide land area for this housing project. So, the Anderson Group will be very honored if the shareholders believe in investing in this Anderson Group housing project."

After listening to explanation after explanation from Benny, Benjamin smiled proudly. At the end of his explanation, Benny bowed to the shareholders and the president director.

Then Benjamin gave a slow applause when Benny straightened up. Benny briefly made eye contact with Benjamin, before suddenly his personal secretary trotted over.

Benny got a whisper, "Mr. Benny, the miss who is being treated at the hospital has woken up."

Benny was silent for a split second, then looked at Benjamin who asked from his seat through facial expression. After thinking for a moment, Benny nodded to his personal secretary.

"Okay, I'll be there."

Benny's personal secretary agreed obediently before retreating from the front of the conference room.

"All right, Gentleman. This is where the presentation of the new major project of the Anderson Group has ended. Thank you for your participation."

Finally Benny followed his personal secretary while giving Benjamin a coded facial expression. The meeting was then moved over to Benjamin when Benny had to meet someone his personal secretary had told him.

"Is he in bad condition, George?" asked Benny after arriving beside his personal secretary. They walked out of the conference room, down the hall.

George shook his head. "Not bad I heard. He's just a little dazed like most people just wake up."

Benny breathed a sigh of relief as he fixed his collar. "Thank goodness then. I'm already responsible for his parents' situation, and I don't want to take any further responsibility if he's seriously injured. I have more important projects to think about."

George just nodded briefly and said nothing. He was used to hearing Benny's words sound devoid of conscience. If he said something to try to refute, Benny would not hear.

"Get the car ready. I'm tired of walking to the hospital beside this building," Benny said once again.

"Okay sir."

The intensity of the tension in the room was palpable after Halmey and Aldrick explained the truth to Aslena.

Aslena had an accident when she accompanied her parents to deliver goods. His condition injured one of his legs which was stuck, but it will heal in a few days if treated and practice walking. But the condition of his parents could not be saved.

Hearing Halmey and Aldrick's explanation, Aslena couldn't move. Can't say anything. In a sitting position facing the window, his gaze was blank towards the building beside this hospital.

Aslena felt her heart as if torn apart after hearing her parents died in the operation process.

"Why..." Aslena laughed sarcastically. To open the mouth was not able to. His heart was too tight. "Why did mom and dad die? W-who... who... bumped into us?"

Haley nodded. Compared to a moment ago, he had regained his softness. His gaze was shady to Aslena who looked very sad.

"What hit your delivery car was a car owned by the Henderson Group company. The driver was also injured, but not in a serious condition."

Something slowly filled Aslena's eyelids. Somehow, the feeling is not accepted. The inside of his heart couldn't digest why this state of affairs was unfair. Why was the condition of the crasher not serious, while both parents had to die?

"Your father's delivery car had a brake failure. Then the car from the Henderson Group company crashed and finally hit the concrete dividing the road. Both of your parents were pinned in the arteries and suffered quite severe brain damage," continued Halmey explaining.

Asleena was cramped. Instantly the oxygen in the room disappeared. Repeatedly he tried to regulate his breathing and heartbeat that was pumping fast as the emotions in his chest exploded.

In the next second, Aslena looked down and trembled. Aslena couldn't hold back the tears on her eyelids any longer.

"It's not fair," he said softly but with emphasis. “That rammer should… s-should have died too!!”

Halmey and Aldrick felt even more compassionate and awkward at the same time watching Aslena's exploding emotions. They let Aslena cry while covering half her face.

"Why did I survive? Why am I still alive? This isn't fair. It's better... just me. I'm the one..." Aslena couldn't finish her sentence because she was suffocated.

"Nothing can be changed, Aslena. After all—"

Knock, knock!

A knock followed by the door opening caught Halmey and Aldrick's attention. From the door, the figures of two men entered the room in turn. Seeing the man standing behind, Halmey and Aldrick were suddenly shocked and got ready.

"Hello, Miss. Do you know about the misfortune that just happened to you?"

Aslena opened the half of her face that was closed. Then, still sobbing, Aslena looked behind her.

The man in the white shirt stepped slowly closer with a flat and firm face. Her small but sharp eyes were fixed on Aslena. As he walked, he rolled up his shirt sleeves.

"Do I need to introduce myself? Have they told you about me?"

Asleena was confused. "W-who are you?"

The man's hand stopped rolling. He looked up, stopped in his tracks too, then watched Aslena for a moment.

"Huft. I don't like to introduce myself to insignificant people. But, I am Benny Adam Anderson."

Aslena's brow furrowed. Wait, Anderson?

Henderson Group.

Aslena was immediately taken aback as her back straightened. He gritted his teeth.

"You were part of the Henderson Group—which killed my parents?"

Benny wasn't the only one who was surprised to hear Aslena's slightly growling words. However, Benny then just laughed lightly in reaction.

"Making both your parents die?" asked Benny.

George beside Benny started to panic and warned his boss what to say.

"Sir... please stop, hold on," George coaxed.

Benny raised one hand. "No," he answered without looking at George. "The Handerson Group didn't make your parents die, miss. Both your parents died because of their own carelessness."

Aslena glared in disbelief. Her heart heats up. Who is this arrogant man who pretends to be all powerful?!
