Chapter Nineteen

They claim that walls have ears, and gossip is indeed a popular trend and a useful employment for those without jobs, like the alpha females. They and the usual maids wouldn't let the matter go once the elder council visited this pack. I've frequently overheard them discussing the alphas while they were talking, or I've walked in on others going extra miles with the flexibility exercise.

Dumb is the most unpleasant of them all. She is undoubtedly stupid. All three of the brothers, notably Hector, who wouldn't give her a moment to breathe, seem to want her to clean their rooms individually.

She is incredibly foolish if she doesn't see that she is playing with fire and will only end up getting horribly burned. Why should I care? She was only brought in here to keep their beds warm, so why should I care? If she isn't engaging in a verbal battle with Hudson or an alpha female she refers to as strongest, she is causing havoc in Hector's room.

“Shit.” I make a hand stamp on
