17 - A Warning

Two days had passed without any communication, and Zeva hesitantly greeted Zero, who was on the other end of the phone. However, after waiting for about two minutes, there was still no sign of a response from Zero.

"Hello," Zeva said again, thinking that perhaps Zero was unaware that the call had connected.

"Zero," Zeva called out again, as there was still no response.

But still, there was no answer from Zero. Suddenly, the phone call was disconnected abruptly. Zeva wasn't sure if it was due to a lost signal or if Zero intentionally ended the call.

"What's wrong with him? Maybe he didn't really intend to call but accidentally pressed the dial button?" Zeva whispered as she lowered her phone from her ear.

"Why is he so frustrating? He's making me think about him all the time," Zeva grumbled.
