ZORA'S POV

I had known, of course, that Sharon was planning and hatching something very devious. I got a glimpse of what it was the very next day at work. Just like the previous day, I went to work half in fear, sure that something would happen. It turned out that I was right. As I walked through the door, the secretary greeted me and scrambled to her feet so quickly that I eyed her curiously.

"Trey said I should notify him as soon as you arrived," she told me by way of explanation.

Trey came in as I was about to sit.

"Good morning, Trey," I said, opening my drawer.

"I wish there was something good about the morning," he groaned.

I looked up at him sharply and saw at once that something was wrong. He sank into the chair in front of me.

"I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but judging by the look on your face, you don't know what's up, do you?"

I shook my head. "What is it about this time?"

"What else? Rumours and more damned rumours. Here. Take a look at this."

He threw a newspaper
