Chapter 55

The days were moving by slowly and one morning, Ava woke up feeling more at peace than she had been feeling the previous day. She knew that she still had a lot of things to figure out, but for the first time, she felt like she could face them. After getting ready for the day, she went into the kitchen to find her Aunt making breakfast.

"Good morning Aunt" she greeted as she planted a kiss on Caroline's cheek

"Morning, sweetie," Caroline said. "How are you feeling this morning?" Ava smiled. "Better," she said. "Thank you for asking."

"You're welcome. If I don't ask who will?," Caroline joked "Now, let's eat some breakfast and then we can talk about what's next for you." Ava nodded, taking a seat at the table. They were a lot if things that she needed to do and one of them was to find a job because there was no way she was going back to work for Ethan.
