"Can you please tell me who Alexander's father is?" Arthur asks, causing everything I was feeling to vanish into thin air.

I let out a hoarse breath and looked at him with a puzzled expression. Arthur is not seriously asking me such a question right now.

I breathe out. "I... why are you asking?" I stutter, unable to maintain a calm voice.

Arthur leant away completely. "I just want to know; I slept a night with you, last five years ago, so it's strange that Alexander is only four years old; I have a feeling I'm his..."

"Fuck off, you psychopath," I curse, interrupting his statement.

What does Arthur think of himself that he's so quick to assume things. Does he think that accepting him as Alex's father is easy? pftt. "Does this mean that my instincts are correct?" he asked, and I had no choice but to force myself to burst out laughing.

"Hahaha!" I laugh, and because I'm very good at acting, I make sure my laugh doesn't sound forced.
