He couldn't hear what the man opposite her was saying, but he seemed to be making her laugh in a way she had never done before.

Eranthe was sharing childhood anecdotes when Colin, unexpectedly, asked such a question. Ignoring his tone, she casually replied, "I volunteered for overtime."

Colin couldn't help but laugh genuinely and angrily.

Eranthe glanced at her phone and saw that Colin didn't reply. She put the phone aside. "Want to drink?"

Jayden was surprised. "You want to drink?"

"I occasionally drink. It helps me sleep better at night. Besides, I didn't drive today."

Jayden ordered two bottles of wine, and Eranthe asked him about his life in Miami.

"It's just okay. I'm not used to the food there. I still prefer the food here."

"Home is always the best," Eranthe sighed.

"You haven't been back to Tivette City for many years, right?"

"I go back every year. My parents are still there. I just come back on the same day."
