Chapter 39 She Caused The Misunderstanding.

Gregory’s talk seemed to go on for minutes with no end in near sight. For someone who had work to turn in, he sure had a lot to talk about.

Sighing, Giselle placed up her hand with a tight smile, stopping Gregory on his current topic.

“Mr. Fisher, don’t you have a ‘work piece’ to turn in?” She reminded.

Gregory sighed, not wanting to end their conversation so early. He was particularly fond of Giselle when it came to all his ex employees.

Taking a step back, the noirette nodded his head. “I in fact do. How about lunch, I’m sticking around for a few days.”

‘A lunch offer? Again?’

Skeptical about her answer, Giselle pressed her lips into a thin line. Rejecting Gregory‘s offers was something she could never bring herself to do. It wasn’t like she couldn’t say no, but his tone always held a certain tint to it that left her feeling curious.

What if she rejected his offer? What if she went?

Those questions always bounced in her head.
