Chapter Nineteen:

Master Dan insisted he was discharged that evening, claiming he was fine and keeping him there was useless. Neither Maya, Damian nor the doctor could change his mind so he ended up going home that evening.

Audrey was already in the living room they arrived. She immediately got up from her seat as soon as she saw the family enter.

"Master Dan, Mr. Makari," she said bowing slightly.

"Hello Audrey," Master Dan smiled. "I hope you are ready to do what I’ve asked of you," he said with a sudden serious expression.

"With pleasure Master Dan," Audrey smiles. "And here are the pictures you asked for," Audrey said swiping through her tablet to show the old man the pictures.

" Wow, blue theme. I love it," Master Dan smiles.

"Keep this up and I’ll double your money," Master Dan winked. Audrey proceeds to take Maya’s measurements and shows her different designs to chooses from.

"Just give me anything stunning," Maya smiled sweetly and Audrey nodded. After packing up, she bid gooodbye to the family and left.

In a dark room where a single candle illuminated, two figures could be seen. That of a male and female. The female sat leisurely in her care with a glass of wine in her hands which she sipped casually whiles the male stood in front of her.

"Is everything ready for tomorrow?" She asked and the man nodded.

"We’re flying back there tomorrow but you’ll have to remain hidden because as you already know, Ron saw you last time," The man said and the woman’s chuckle echoed through the room.

"Oh Oliver, you worry too much," the woman said in an amused tone. "You brother wouldn’t dare to hurt me now. After all, he hasn’t seen me for years and....."

"He hates you Amber. In fact he despises you. He wouldn’t think twice if he had the opportunity to kill you," Oliver said in a serious tone.

"That is where you come in Oliver," Amber chuckled. "It’s up to you to cook up a believable story. Tell me how I begged you. Tell him I begged you not to let me betray him but you were hell-bent on destroying him," Amber said with a smirk.

Oliver looked at the woman sitting in front of him. How can a person be so cruel? Damian would not even believe this lie because unlike him, Damian was a man who didn’t take betrayal lightly, whether intentional or not.

Even though Oliver never admitted it, he feared his brother to the core. Oliver knew the only reason he was alive was because of the promise Damian made to their grandfather. But Oliver was tired of living in the shadows. He also wanted to be seen. He wanted the power Damian had. He wanted people to shiver at the mention of his name and that was why he was going to do. It didn’t matter if he failed the first time, he was going to try again and he was going to stop at nothing to get what he wanted. Once that happened, Amber and Damian would be gone forever. He wouldn’t even give them a chance to live.

Amber messes up his plans the first time by leaving clues and even going to the extent of working with Damian’s men. Only God knows what happened to those poor guys. But now he was going back fully prepared to penetrate into whatever Damian had built and was using as shield.

"I’ll see you tomorrow," he told Amber who nodded in response and left.

Amber took in a deep breath to calm her nerves after Oliver had left.

"That fool doesn’t know who he’s dealing with," she thought, an evil smirk plastered on her lips. Now that they were going back, she was going to see her Damian again. She was going to be in his arms and he was going to shower her with all the love and gifts. Her mind slowly drifted of to the romantic dates he took her on, the expensive vacations they both took and the endless love making. She sighed knowing she missed it all dearly. At first it was all an act but as time passed by she found herself falling for Damian. When it was time for her to leave, she promised herself to come back. To come back to where she rightfully belonged to.

She has fully prepared herself this time nobody was going to stop her from being with Damian. Not Oliver, that old man or even Damian himself.

Three days have passed by quickly and Damian smiled as he gazed at his image in the mirror. His grandfather really knew what would fit him. He passed his hands through his hair and straightened up his already straightened tie. He was nervous and happy at the same time because the whole world would know Maya belongs to him within an hour. He took a step back and examined himself one last time. Since grandpa had chosen a blue theme for the weeding, Damian was dressed in a pair of blue trousers and white long-sleeved shirt. The blue coat was the last thing he would wear before going out. His black mirror shoes were neatly polished as well.

A slight knock came on the door and Master walked in. His outfit matched Damian’s and he couldn’t help but smile.

"Looking good son," he smiled.

"You don’t look bad yourself," Damian smiled.

"Yeah, all I have to do is throw my walking stick away and the guests will think I’m the groom," Master Dan teases. "The priest is here so you should heard out. I’ll bring Maya soon," Master Dan said and Damian picked up his coat and walked out.

The make-up artiste had just finished applying the finishing touches of Maya’s makeup and she stepped aside to give Maya full access to the mirror.

"I look stunning," Maya breath, totally amazed by how flawless she looked. "Thank you so much," she told the makeup artist.

Audrey and Maddie walked in immediately with Maya’s outfit, shoes, jewelry and the bouquet she was going to hold.

"Who is this? Why did my best friend go to?" Maddie teased as she placed the diamond necklace and earrings on the bed.

"You look so beautiful,"Maddie said hugging Maya from behind.

"Thanks," Maya smiled. Audrey handed her the gown which she went to the closet to wear. The blue off shoulder lace strap bridal dress fit her perfect. The back was a little bare but it show too much of her body. The upper part of the dress hugged her body perfectly and the lower part flowed freely like a ball gown. The dress had a thigh high slit at the right side. Blue rubies were neatly arranged at the bottom of the dress and some were unevenly arranges all over the dress.

"Nobody will be able to take their eyes off you once you step outside," Maddie said and Audrey nodded in agreement. Maddie was dressed in a simple blue outfit as Maya’s maid of honor.

Maddie help Maya out on her shoes whiles Audrey helped with the jewelry. They both styled Maya’s hear into a neat bun and stuck some flowers into her hair.

"You look like a blue princess," Maddie said.

"A beautiful blue princess," Audrey added with a warm smile.

Seconds later, Master Dan walked in ready to walk Maya down the aisle.

"You look beautiful my child," he complimented Maya making her blush.

"Thanks grandpa," Maya replied and hooked her hand with his.
