Austin's POV

"I think," I say, slowly. "You have made a mistake, Beta."

"What mistake, Your Majesty?" I hear him ask.

"Come look at this," I say.

Beta squats beside me and I point a finger at the bite mark that is not a combination of purple and black. The crimson color is almost hidden.

"Here, those look like wolf's teeth marks to you?"

He takes a moment to analyze what I have just shown him, cocking his head to one side like a Superstar about to pour himself a cup of Perod on the rocks.

Beta shakes his head. "Anyone could have missed that, Your Majesty," he says, flustered that I could have found such a discrepancy in the manner of death.

"Takes a vampire hunter to know a vampire," I say, and stand on my feet.

Beta follows suit. "So this war isn't just physical anymore. They are now taking it to the media. What the hell for?"
