Belle's POV

I zipped my bag shut and then stared at the mirror. Today was the day I would be travelling to St Louis. It was a wonder Christian was still allowing me to travel when we had barely spoken to each other for two days now. The house had been quiet, too quiet and it pissed the hell out of me. He didn't even have the decency to apologize, for embarrassing me and his family.

After packing up and dressing, I quickly took my purse from the table and walked out of my room.

Downstairs, Christian sat in the living room, dressed in casual clothes.

Good. No work for him today again.

My eyes caught the screen of the television and was surprised he preferred to watch himself throw a punch at Francis instead of changing channels.
