Chapter 103.

The taxi pulled up in front of the firm and I got down quickly after paying the driver off. I had decided to stop taking buses since they were always cramped up and delayed.

Taxis were expensive but I was ready for the cost, I was going to do everything it took to prove myself to the company that I was worth it from the start and not just some merit case.

And if I was going to do that I had to stop wailing over a man who had no respect for me. Elliot was a liar and a cheat and crying over him was a waste of emotions, I reassured myself.

I walked into the lobby and greeted everyone as they walked past me. I got a couple of weird glances from people who must've noticed my absence the day before but I paid no mind to it.

I had done more makeup than usual to hide my eye bags and even dressed more elegantly to fit the 'boss bitch' aesthetic I was going for.

Of course, it was all a facade.
