Chapter 31

I could barely control the rate at which my heart was beating. It was pounding fast and hard against my chest. I had suggested this, why the hell was I feeling this way? I walked towards the visitor and sat down hoping he didn't notice. Thankfully he didn't because his back was still facing me.

‘I have thought long and hard about this. You are right. It's the only option. But if it will make you feel better I feel horrible for making you do this.’ He turned facing me but could barely look me in the face.

‘okay. I will do my best.’ I replied.

‘no don't do your best. Be lazy. Do everything in your power to ensure he kicks you out. We will be more than willing to take you back.’ His voice rose.

I smiled. Somehow those words made my heart calm a little.

‘Yes sir.’ I nodded shyly.

‘You have this week to pack. I really hate sending you there.’ His eyes were looking at me in a very strange manner.

‘I will be okay. I may not look like it but I am one tough girl.’ I said hoping to assure him
