Confusion

It was already afternoon, but Myra’s mind was restless, recollecting Elijah’s hurtful expression. She knew what she said to him was harsh, and instead of helping him convince Sharon, she ended up hurting him. He was his rational voice and had always looked out for the best for her, and she vented Abram’s frustration on him for no apparent reason. True, he shouldn’t have left her alone with Abram, but Elijah didn't do anything without a concrete reason. 

She was brought out of her trance when a housekeeper said, “Ma’am, your fruit salad."

“But I didn’t ask for it," she replied, glancing at the bowl. 

Maybe Sharon ordered for me, she thought, and as if on cue, at that moment, her phone rang, displaying Abram&rsquo

I hate Sharon she dont have any rights to meddle wd her friends affair though Abram is giving a try to mend thier broken relationship. I hope d author should not exaggerate too much the role of Sharon its really too much en I find it so annoying there’s no such a person,
