Devan

The sound of Devan's room bell rang repeatedly. Devan, still half-asleep, opened his eyes with difficulty, his head throbbing slightly. He approached the door and peered out to make sure who was coming.

"Robi!" exclaimed Devan in surprise.

Devan glanced at the wall clock; it was already 7 in the morning.

"No way! Robi can't know that last night I slept with someone, and it was a hotel servant!" Devan panicked.

Devan quickly cleaned and tidied up his bed, noticing fresh bloodstains on the white sheets.

"Is the woman still a virgin?" mumbled Devan, speaking to himself.

Realizing that the room bell kept ringing, indicating Robi was still calling him, Devan couldn't think of anything else. He quickly covered the stain with a blanket, put on his sleepwear, and went to open the door.

"Huaaa... what's going on?" Devan asked, yawning at Robi. Robi waved his hands in front of his face to keep the air from Devan's mouth away from his nose.

Robi looked around inside Devan's room, making Devan worry that Robi might find out what happened last night.

"What are you looking for?" Devan asked, pretending to be casual, although he was very anxious.

"What were you doing in the room?" Robi asked with a curious expression.

"What do you mean? I've been doing nothing since last night except sleeping," Devan answered, hiding the truth. "Why do you ask?"

"No reason, I've been calling you since last night and ringing the bell at your door, but you didn't answer," Robi said.

"I was sleeping, and I just woke up now. Is there something important about the ship?"

"No, forget it; I've handled everything. I'll go now," Robi said, excusing himself. Just as he took a step, Devan quickly asked, making Robi pause.

"Are we continuing the voyage tonight?" Devan asked.

"Um... yes."

Robi answered briefly and left without saying much more, leaving Devan puzzled.

"Why is he like that? Is it just because I'm a bit slow at work that he acts weird, or does he know what happened last night?" Devan wondered, feeling anxious and hoping Robi didn't know anything about what happened to him last night.

Devan closed his room door again and went to bed.

"I have to meet the hotel maid from last night and ask her to keep quiet," Devan said, squeezing the blanket.

Unintentionally, Devan looked at the bloodstain on the other side of the sheet. He spread all the blankets to see how many bloodstains there were, only to find those two.

"Darn it! How could I get so carried away last night!" Devan exclaimed, feeling frustrated, punching the pillow next to him.

"I made a fatal mistake! How could I sleep with someone else for the first time, not with Eca! Forgive me, Eca, I didn't mean to betray you; I love you so much! Forgive me, I promise I won't do it again," Devan continued, covering his face with both palms.

Devan leaned on the head of the bed and spoke to himself.

"I can't believe how Eca's reaction would be if she found out I slept with another woman, even though we promised to take care of ourselves and only be intimate after a lawful marriage," Devan whispered helplessly.

"No, Eca shouldn't find out about this, neither Eca nor my family. None of them should know that I slept with a hotel maid last night! I have to meet that woman and make an agreement!" Devan said.

Devan quickly took a shower and tidied up the dirty sheets; he had to eliminate those traces immediately. No one should see the bloodstain on the sheet.

Devan called the hotel servant to replace the sheet, hoping it would be the woman he slept with last night, but it turned out not to be. He had to find out who the woman was and where she slept with him last night.

"Excuse me, I want to ask, where is the maid who brought me coffee last night?" Devan asked.

"The servant who worked last night probably went home because the shift changed," the servant replied.

"Oh, I see. How can I know the name and address of the servant who brought me coffee last night?" Devan asked again.

"Sorry, sir, for the name, they all have their names on their uniforms," she pointed to the name on her own uniform, right next to her chest. Devan just realized there was a name on the uniform of the woman last night. He cursed himself for not reading the woman's name.

"But for the address, it's the privacy of the employee, sir. We can't give it out casually," the servant continued.

"Do you think I'm just anyone?" Devan asked, raising his voice. "Can't you see which hotel room I'm renting?"

The servant bowed respectfully.

"Sorry, sir. Nevertheless, the employee's address is private; we dare not give it out. Who do you mean, and is there a problem? Let me inform the supervisor."

"No need, thank you! Please go!" Devan said, raising his voice.

The chambermaid left, carrying the dirty sheet, while Devan brainstormed how he could find the woman from last night.

Devan spent the whole day sitting in the hotel lobby and garden, hoping to meet Lisa. Unfortunately, he didn't see any signs of Lisa being in the hotel.

In the bar, Robi was talking to a man and a woman who looked upset.

"I hired efficient people! Not someone as slow as him!" Robi shouted.

"We apologize; we did our best to get there quickly, but suddenly we had problems on the way. We were blocked by our former boss," the man replied.

"I don't care about your problems! The point is you failed, and I won't pay you a dime!"

The two looked at each other.

"That's not how it works; my initial agreement was to act in the bar, suddenly changing the location, it's not like the first agreement! We also made it to the hotel; it's just the target who didn't open the hotel door," the woman protested.

"That's because you were late! He had fainted due to the drug!" Robi snapped.

"But we worked as ordered; you can't not pay us!" the man continued.

"So, do you both want payment for a failed job?" Robi stared at the two humans in front of him with a blank expression.

"Yes," they both answered.

"Don't be crazy! I won't pay you a cent! You're useless! Trash!"

The two in front of him looked at each other again.

"Then we can also tell the man what you're planning to do to him," the man threatened.

Robi looked at the man with a blank expression, grabbed his collar, bringing their faces very close.

"Are you trying to threaten me?" Robi asked with a high tone.

The woman standing next to them removed Robi's hand from the man's collar.

"We're not threatening; we'll just act fairly as you yourself act," the woman said with a sly smile.

"Damn it!" Robi shouted.

He took out his wallet from his pants pocket and threw several dollar bills at their faces.

"Enough, right?" Robi asked sternly.

The two individuals quickly picked up the scattered money with triumphant smiles, while Robi left with an annoyed expression.

"Damn humans!" cursed Robi as he continued walking away from the useless duo.

"Damn! I failed to trap Devan!" Robi exclaimed while punching the wall next to him. "I have to find another way; I won't let him inherit more than me," Robi continued.

Robi left the bar in his car; the carefully planned plan failed just because Devan kept video calling Eca, restricting Robi's movements.

Robi planned to ruin Devan's life thoroughly by trapping him in a situation where he slept with another woman. This way, Devan's marriage to Eca, the famous model Robi had been admiring for a long time, would fail. It would tarnish Devan's reputation, and their grandmother would perceive Devan's performance as terrible, handing over the cruise ship management entirely to Robi.

Robi arrived at the hotel, passing by Devan, who was sitting casually in the hotel lobby.

"Where are you from?" Devan asked politely.

"Not your business!" Robi replied curtly, then went to his room.

Devan stared at Robi with a puzzled look, "What's wrong with him again? Did I do something wrong again?" Devan asked himself, but he chose to ignore Robi, still waiting for Lisa even as the sun began to set.
