Clair pov.
What in the world had happened? I was almost certain that I had travelled back in time. Or those vile humans had returned from hell to get me once more. I was 100% positive that it was my doom. But here I am. Once again surrounded by those who cared for me, reassuring me that they will always be there for me as they always had.
I knew they would. They had never failed me. They are my family now. And I know for sure that they would always be there for me. And this time, two of my closest friends witnessed one of my panic attacks. They may have left without asking me any questions, but I knew I owed them an explanation.
“Do you know some one called Carl from your university?” Austin asked.
I smiled and nodded. “Yes.”
“I would like to see him and his friends.” Austin told me.
I nodded in response. I knew he most probably wanted to question Carl and the gang about the attackers. I knew Austin wouldn
Levi pov. I felt my heart sink to a bottomless pit when she once again ignored my call. Why does she keep doing that? Am I not good enough for her? Am I ugly? Is it because I am not rich? I couldn’t understand. I thought she was the simple and nice type. My heart still refused to believe that she was proud and conceited to only accept handsome and rich guys. I mean, come on, what is so wrong in working hard and finally being successful with your hard work? I played with my phone and ended up sending her a message. I felt like throwing my phone at the wall, shattering it into tiny pieces, but instead, I kept on staring at it. Groaning is despair, I slumped on to my bed and covered my face with my pillow. “Clair.....damn it!” I grumbled in exasperation. “What have you done to me?”
Clair pov. “Woman! We missed you like....this much!” Isla squealed, stretching her arms as wide as she could, as soon as she saw me in the café. Sienna also was grinning from ear to ear when she joined us in a group hug. It has been a week since the incident and I was advised by the doctor to avoid any stress for sometime. So Adira and the others didn’t even allow me to attend classes. They had even got medical leave for me so that I could take leave for a week. It was relaxing. I wouldn’t lie. Perhaps I needed it. But after staying at home for a week, I started to miss my friends. They did call and visit me once. But I missed hanging out with them. So we arranged to meet during the weekend in a café near my place. “I missed you guys too.” I exclaimed as I hugged them back.
Clair pov. I climbed out of the bus, still thinking about how to tell Isla about what I had found out last night. I was still lost in my thoughts as I took slow steps towards the school. I knew I should tell her. But what would she think? “Hey.” I greeted my girls and tried my best to smile at them. “Oh my God there comes Carl.” Isla gasped and hid behind her text book. “How could he see you if you are going to hide like that?” Sienna whisper shouted, trying to lower her books that covered her blushing face. We saw his buddies meet him at the school gate and greet each other. “If you won’t approach him in a proper way, I am going to do it for you!” Sienna warned, pretending to be upset with Isla.
Clair pov. I barely slept after that. I just kept thinking about Isla and Carl. I couldn’t even call her because it was so late at night. And texting was just not convenient for me. I didn’t want her to misunderstand me. I prepared myself and Nolan in a hurry before leaving to catch the bus. The whole bus ride seemed to be longer than usual to me, as I impatiently watched the passing vehicles and buildings. I practically ran towards my two besties who were at the gate as usual. “Hey.” I breathlessly greeted them. “Hey.” Was the glum response. Ooookkk. So were both of them upset with me? “Ummmm....so? How was the date?” I asked, now feeling slightly anxious. Isla sighed and walked away from where I was standing. Sienna glared at me for sometime and scowled. “Clair. Why didn’t you tell her? I mean why didn’t you tell us that Carl was deaf. She found out last night in the most awkward way. Imagine how embar
Narrator The three girls gaped at the four college boys who were walking confidently in their direction. Isla’s heart pounded like crazy in her chest. She suddenly felt as if the temperature had dropped several degrees as her hands and feet started to feel cold. Her stomach churned uncomfortably as she fidgeted on the bench. “What the eff are they doing here?” she whispered as she leaned forward. “How am I supposed to know?” Sienna whispered back. “I kind of have a feeling Carl is here to see you. You had told him that we are coming here. Remember?” Clair pointed out. “But.... He had an assignment. And..... Oh God.” She gasped as they came closer. Her face heated up and soon her cheeks turned pink when she was
Narrator.Isla and Carl were too engrossed in their own world to notice that they were being approached by Clair and Sienna. Isla pouted when Carl left and then scowled at her friends.“You cannot do this to me.” She sighed.“What?” Sienna chuckled and Clair giggled.“You guys leave me alone with him when I was so anxious and then when I’m really enjoying his company you come back.” She complained.“Oh you mean. You were enjoying kissing him out in the open in broad daylight?” Sienna smirked.“Hmm.......” Isla replied as she blushed. “He is so perfect.” She sighed. “He tasted like.......”“Uhhhh. TMI Isla. TMI.....” Sienna quickly stopped Isla on her tracks.Rolling her eyes, Isla smirked.“What? I enjoyed it. I think I want more.” She bit her lips, as she thought about the brief moment she had spent with Car
Narrator Sienna lay on Gerald’s bed, covering her nude body with the bed sheets, feeling confused and conflicted. Gerald had the perfect answer for all of her questions. He knew just how to silence her. He knew exactly how to trap her in his seductive trap. She glanced at her sleeping boyfriend who was now snoring slightly in his slumber. His blond hair was dishevelled and his face looked so innocent and pure. Perhaps she was wrong. Maybe he was telling her the truth. Maybe, she should just trust him and let it go. Sighing and shaking her head, she removed the covers and stood up from his bed where she had just spent a memorable moment with the man she loved. It always felt so right when he took her in his arms. He was fully aware of how to please her. In other words, he knew her too well for her to p
Narrator Clair hurriedly jumped off the bus, eager to meet her friends, specifically Sienna to find out what had happened. But she was surprised to see only Isla waiting for her at the gate. “Hey. Where is Si?” Clair asked, slightly disappointed. “She stayed at his apartment last night.” Isla’s answer was abrupt, but her expression told Clair so much more than her words. Clair froze. Does this mean...... Clair didn’t want to think about it. But she could help it. She just hoped that Sienna was fine. Just then, they noticed a familiar black car drive into the parking lot. “She is here.” Isla murmured. The girls decided to wait for her hoping to learn about the details. Sienna tried her best to be her cheerful self but she found it hard. “Hey. I thought you might be late so I left earlier.” Isla told her and all she got was a forced smile in response. Clair narrowed her eyes on her. Som
