Chapter Fifty-Four: James

I shift as soon as I know Kurt is dead. His death deconstructs the miserable cage I’ve been in since my parents died. The shadow clinging to me for the last thirteen years has evaporated. I’ve never felt alleviation like this before.

“I have to get to the hospital. Paige needs me. Can you two handle this? Offer refuge to any rogue who wants it. Let the peaceful ones leave if they wish.” Colin yells.
