When Eddie got back home, Liz had already left. Eddie searched everywhere but didn’t see her. She started feeling guilty and remorseful. Maybe she shouldn’t have talked like that to Liz. She sat on the sofa and it was then she noticed the small note on the table. She picked the note from the table, it was indeed from Liz.

Liz: I’m going to the next city to stay with my parents and might be more than a month before I come back. You might not be able to call me because I lost my phone.

The note was short but Eddie understood what it conveyed. Elizabeth was hurt and it was her best friend's words that hurt her. For the first time in her life, Eddie let out her anger and it cost her her friendship.
