Thank you all for reading!
“What are you thinking?” Jet asked me in the mind-link. “I want to turn them.” I asked. Everyone was looking between Jet and me, fully knowing we were having our own discussion. “Turn them?” “As in, bite them and turn them into wolves.” I clarified. “That isn’t possible…” Jet’s eyes met mind with a very confused look on his face. “Yes, it is. Well, for me it is. I did it once when I was little. On accident!” I shrugged. Jet’s mouth opened and closed a few times before he could find his voice. “Luna and I need to discuss a few things before we issued a punishment. You are currently under house arrest until we decide.” “Yes, Alpha.” “Jameson, issue a guard to their house.” Jameson nodded before standing up. He grabbed hold of Nathaniel’s arm and pulled him out the door. Only once the door was shut did he look at me. “Are you serious?” “What? After everything I am capable of and this is what sends you over the edge?” I asked, a little surprised it was that big of a deal. “
I didn’t have to turn around to see if Jet was following me. I could feel him. He was still mulling over his words, so I just kept ongoing. The kitchen was empty of people, but it was pretty late, so I wasn’t surprised. Opening the fridge, I found some leftover pasta. Putting that on a plate, I heated myself up some. Next, I went to the cabinet and grabbed a wine glass before pouring myself some. The dinger went off in the microwave, so I was able to get my food and sit down at the table off to the side to eat. Jet just stood at the door and watched me. It wasn’t until I sat down that he heated himself up some food and sat down. It chose left over pizza. I tried to ignore him as he just stared at me. Every bite he took, I doubt he even looked at. Suppose he will tell me whatever is bothering him when he is ready. I finished first and waited till he was done as I sipped my wine. Only once he was finished did I take our plates to the dishwasher and put them in. I kept my wine though
“Yeah, we can do it, but let’s wait to start it until we finish off Adron. You already have a couple of projects going on with these building. Plus, who knows how long it will take to take Adron down.” Jet said as he shifted through the papers. “Sounds good. Did all the projects get approved and started?” I asked, looking for the bids. “Yes. Some will start before the others but they will do all within a year.” “Perfect.” I didn’t have much to do currently, so I decided to head to the library and see if there was anything I missed. Since Susan is still doing most of the luna’s work until Adron is dead. Every time I walked in here, my breath got taken away. It was beautiful. The smell of books was something I’ll never tire of. There was one book that really stood out to me. It was called The History of Vampire Behavior. Sitting down, I opened it up and began to read. “Although there are documentations done on vampire’s behavior, there are three main things to know when dealing w
“Ivory, you sure you are okay to go?” Jet was finishing getting dressed. It’s been almost two weeks since I gave some venom. We decided to wait until the doctor had a possible cure before we trapped any vamolves. No reason to have them tied down if we had no use for them. It also gave me the time to recover completely. With my luna ceremony tomorrow, today was our last day to find any vamolves before we left on our trip. For the last eleven days, I have barely moved from the couch in the library. To say that I was going stir crazy was an understatement. “I am beyond ready!” My arms went out to the side as I jumped up. I had on a traditional battle clothes. This time, I had on a black long sleeve body suit with khaki pants. They were tied into my combat boots. My hair was pulling into a low bun, so I didn’t have to worry about anything catching. “How is your energy level?” Jet also stood up and adjusted his pants. He was wearing something similar, but not a body suit. “Extremely h
My eyes met the blood red ones of the vamolf. He was towering over us, just studying me. Glancing over, the poor bear laid motionless. Jet tried to move in front of me but the vamolf let out a deep growl that stopped him in his tracts. That’s when I noticed more movement behind the one in front of me. More black figures emerged out from the dense forest. Up until now, I would have thought they were wild, but here they almost seem… coherent? We didn’t have time to ponder it because one of our warriors had shifted and jumped on his back, biting the vamolf’s neck. His wail of pain actually caused my heart to hurt. “Attack!” Jet yelled as more warriors had shifted and started working together to push them in a circle. I got to work creating a weaved sphere. Starting under the feet, the vines would curl around their ankles. More than once, it would break when the vamolf would kick at it, or pull it with their fingers. The vines almost seemed too weak. Trying to strengthen them up, I a
“Ivory, wake up!” I must be dreaming. My mother’s voice whispered in my ears. Squeezing my eyes tightly shut, I didn’t want to wake up. Just imagining her warm embrace was so comforting right now. I slept like shit. Tossing and turning because Justina kicks. More than once, I wanted to wrap her in vines to keep her on her side. Jet was a great bed companion. He didn’t kick, snore… loudly or even steal the covers. “Wakey wakey!” There it was again. My mother’s voice. My body shook, which caused me to actually wake up. My anger rose a little at the thought of not hearing my mom’s voice this morning. I think Susan invited her, but since I hadn’t had the chance to call her, I wasn’t sure she would be here. “Ivory Peterson! You get out of this bed right now!” The light blinded me as I realized I wasn’t dreaming. That was my mom! “MOM?” Sitting up in bed, I had to blink to get used to the light. “About time sleepy head!” I felt the bed dig as a comforting pair of arms wrapped arou
There was two golf carts. Each cart was fully enclosed so the wind wouldn’t mess us our hair. There was a total for six seats in each chart. Brent, Susan, Megan, Wade and Justina were in one. Mom, dad, samantha and myself in the other. “There will be a tent off to the side that we were be able to slip into without too much attention. It will be similar to the other Luna ceremonies we have been to so don’t worry too much about that. I know Susan has made everything a surprise for you.” Mom said, looking back at me. “I really haven’t given it much thought.” I said honestly. “I helped her set things up yesterday. It is magical. The more naturely beautiful ceremony anyone could ask for. It looks like it came out of a book or a movie.” Samantha reassured me. “Oh, good!” My exciting was building as I realized we were headed into the forest. Where on earth are we going? Still, I kept my mouth shut as I looked all around. There were signs up telling us where to go but it was only about
“I doubt it but I will have some warriors check it out. You don’t worry about a thing.” Jet said in the mind-link as he fed me my cake. The worry was still there, but I let it go. If he wanted to do anything… well, I’ll address it then. The omegas took over cutting the cake and passing it out. I walked over to where Justina and Samantha were sitting. “Hey girls!” “Hey there!” Justina smiled at me. “Ivory, why did you choose the name goddess? I didn’t even know you could choose a name besides Luna!” Samantha laughed. Justina looked at me, confused. “I forgot she doesn’t know.” “Know what?” Samantha stopped, smiled, and looked at me, confused. “I am an actual goddess. My parents adopted me, but my birth parents are Mother Nature and the Moon Goddess.” I said proudly. “It took me a while to accept, but that is the truth. It’s all a long story that I can fill you in on later.” “I think… Are you…what?” Samantha started a few different sentences before she just gave up. “I’m not
