The doctor said while adjusting his thick black rimmed reading glasses on the bridge of his nose, handing the ointment to Cali who took it from him and placed it beside her on the bed and looked over at Cain. He was not in his usual mood, or maybe he was. After all, he was always in a brooding mood. Right?

He was clenching his jaws tight while balling his hands into fists hanging by his sides as he glared at the doctor. The poor doctor was failing to notice it since he was busy attending his patient, who happened to be Cali. When he went on to touch her to check the severity of her injury, Cain almost lost it but controlled himself, somehow. The doctor was just doing his duty there. And Cali's health mattered to him the most.

"The fall has caused a pretty bad contusion. But nothing looks serious. And the best thing is, she had not hit her head and did not hurt her backbone or spinal cord
